Understand the difference between switching accounts, leaving an app, and ending single sign-on.
Apps may handle “sign out” differently. Check the message on the page before continuing.
Switch accounts
Section titled “Switch accounts”If you only need to use another account, choose “Switch account” when available. Other apps can remain signed in while you select a different account.
Three common actions

| Sign out of this app | Ends your session in the current app only |
| Sign out of single sign-on | Other connected apps may ask you to sign in again |
| Sign out on all devices | The account may also become signed out on other devices |
On a shared device, sign out of single sign-on and close the browser when you finish.
